BMW Motorrad thought it was time to remind everyone why their name has such a pull in the motorcycle business, so they introduced their new BMW eRR experimental supersport motorcycle. A unique project developed in collaboration with the Technical University of Munich, this electric motorcycle is based on the S 1000 RR.

There is no word on technical specifications, not yet anyway, but according to BMW this electric version comes with zero emissions and will accelerate instantly, putting even the Roadrunner to shame – and I’m not talking about the muscle-car.

With that in mind, we can only dream about the bike’s performance and take notice of its cool futuristic exterior. The BMW eRR features a black and white exterior, with green accents and various carbon fiber components. The electricity-inspired graphics and the perforated seat with green contrast stitching is also out of this world.

Considering that BMW has put a lot of time and effort into this unique project, we should expect a production-ready bike pretty soon.
