Boasting with a rather interesting history, Marrakech was once a desert stopover borough for caravan travelers. The Moroccan city is now one of the most modern in the entire Black Continent and it’s ready to present tourists with the true charm of life in Africa.

After a fruitful collaboration, the luxury hotel brand Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces, and JK Hotels, have announced the grand opening of the Taj Palace Marrakech. Increasing the international portfolio of Taj to a whopping 17 hotels, Taj Palace Marrakech’s gates will be opened in December 2012. Taj Palace Marrakech will be located just 30 minutes by car away from Marrakech’s Menara International Airport.

The hotel comprises a total of 161 guestrooms, which include the Royal Suite and 25 other suites, providing breathtaking views of the Atlas Mountains and the lush gardens of the district of Palmeraie, garnished with superb palm trees. Stuart Church, the famous American designer, Orientalist and artist, has supervised the works on the interior, as well as the building’s architecture, ensuring an unbelievable level of luxury and impressive attention to detail.

At the base of the designs of the rooms like four different styles inspired from four different cultures – exotic Thai traditions, the gorgeousness of old Ottoman architecture, the opulence of Indian pageantry and the noble Moroccan Berber Kasbahs.

In addition to all the opulence and top notch amenities the hotel provides, there are also a few superbly appointed restaurants and bars ready to present guests with all sorts of cuisines, Asian and Mediterranean tastes to local Moroccan dishes. And if it comes to relaxation, the main solution would be to head to the hotel’s extensive Jiva Grande Spa where an entire array of rejuvenating treatments can be unveiled to you, including the famous Ayurveda.

This magnificent spot includes a top notch fitness center with “Technogym” equipment, two lavish hammams and a total of 14 luxurious treatment rooms.
