The lovely de Grisogono Sugar watch collection

One of Switzerland’s manufacturers of exquisite timepieces, De Grisogono, has recently come up with a series of wristwatches bound to turn the “envy” button on in every girl. Inspiration for the so called Sugar women’s watch was drawn from some sweet treats during a lunch event at Hôtel Costes in Paris during this week. This would serves as a great gift to your beloved.

The official unveiling of the Sugar watch will reportedly take place during the upcoming edition of Baselworld, between the 25th of April and the 2nd of May. The timepiece will be available in four different varieties, with blue and orange sapphires, white diamonds and emeralds. Furthermore, with a price tag of $142,000 per unit, you’re bound to receive something extraordinary. And indeed these wristwatches are, having been intricately encrusted with thousands of precious stones, for both bling and sparkle.

One can notice the presence of precious stones not only on the bezel or case, bun even on the dial, caseback and clasp. It appears that the stones actually flow in a spiral shape from the bezel towards the watch. This is probably due to the fact that they are attached to the lower part, on the right hand side, by hooks that are invisible. In addition, the price is so ridiculously high because the costs of the raw materials are on the rise. Nothing to worry about, though, as once you get your hands on one of these, their values won’t drop, unlike low or medium priced objects.

In relation to the brand, they not only focus on the manufacture of timepieces, but also on women’s and men’s jewels, like all sorts of stone-adorned luxury showpieces, rings, earrings, pendants and bracelets. It is also known for having created jewelry for celebrities like model Irina Shayk, Cheryl Cole and Salma Hayek.
