The classic Italian supercars that roamed Europe’s roads 40-50 years ago can’t be forgotten, especially when there’s a brand new series of watches signed Autodromo that brings back those good old days. The timepiece, reportedly named the Autodromo Vallelunga Chronograph, sports designs and features that used to be commonly seen in the supercars of the 60s and 70s era.
Similar to tachometers from Ferraris, Alfa Romeos and an entire array of half-a-century old Italian supercars, the dial designs are the most eye-catching features of the series. The red indicator at the end of the tachometer, the spot that indicates your car’s been over-revved, has been nicely placed on the dial, a subtle feature that will probably be noticed only be true enthusiasts.
Furthermore, the overall minimal design of the watch reminds us of the limited technology supercars used to be added during the mid 20th century. If we managed to raise the hair on your back with this exquisite series, than you’re probably thinking at the same frequency as we do. A bit of Steve McQueen won’t do any harm, would it? – Especially when it costs a measly $550.
