Back in 2013, Hublot made the luxury watch world bow down before their spectacular MP-05 LaFerrari. This incredible tribute to the eponymous supercar featured a unique and complex architecture, that was joined by a record-breaking movement.
The design of the LaFerrari timepiece was imagined through a close collaboration between Hublot’s brilliant watchmakers and Ferrari’s Design Director, Flavio Manzoni.
The movement was completely made in-house by the Hublot Manufacture engineers and watchmakers, featuring an intricate mechanism and the highest number of components of a Hublot timepiece to date.
But now, there are more reasons to smile and be impressed, as Hublot has unveiled an astounding update to this stunning watch: the MP-05 LaFerrari Sapphire.
The Swiss luxury watchmaker has improved upon the previous design by suspending the watch in a clear sapphire case, allowing everyone to admire the movement in all of its glory.
Possibly equally impressive as the movement, the case middle was crafted from seven components, machined from solid blocks of sapphire as well. The entire process took over 600 hours to complete, but the eye-catching resulting was definitely worth the time.
Paired with a transparent silicone strap, featuring a clasp and sapphire components, the watchmaking expertise that Hublot is well associated with has never been more obvious.
