The gorgeous Dusit Thani Maldives

The summer holidays are coming and, to clear up the stress and bother we’ve been accumulating during the months of work, getaways have become extremely sought-after these days. And so we’ve found this magnificently looking resort in the Maldives, on Mudhdhoo Island.

The so-called Dusit Thani Maldives is located just 10 minutes away by speedboat from the brand new domestic airport on Baa Atoll and 35 minutes by seaplane from the Maldivian capital of Malé. To be honest, this place has got me baffled, quite literally. I’ve even struggled to choose which photos to place aside this babbling. Part of Dusit Hotels & Resorts, Dusit Thani Maldives is set among pristine white beaches and stalwart palm trees, consisting of an array of exquisitely appointed villas.

What makes our story even more interesting is that the resort lies adjacently to a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, a feeding ground for whale sharks and manta rays. It is here that you find the largest swimming pool throughout the Maldives and extremely gorgeous places to dive, dip or practice your snorkeling skills. There are many things to do on land as well, like keeping yourself fit at the gym with a personal trainer, practice yoga with your instructor, there’s a library with internet stations and books, alongside an array of boutiques and shops. In addition, the island also hosts a club facility, a number of exquisite restaurants with breathtaking panoramas, a marine biologist and a playing area for children.

Accommodation-wise, Dusit Thani Maldives comprises a total of 100 superbly appointed villas and residences, fitted with top notch amenities and exponentially cozy creature comforts. And if you’re looking for a place to know true relaxation, Devarana Spa is there to pamper you – found among tall coconut trees, the spa consists of 6 treetop treatment pods that provide experiences you’ll never forget. Nightly rates at Dusit Thani Maldives start at $720.
