The first production Caterham SP/300.R supercar will be delivered soon to American Le Mans Series LMP1 Team and U.S. distributor Dyson Racing. This is going to be a demonstrator model, the first supercar that Caterham built to specifications appropriate for the US market, which means it can be run U.S. racing tracks and even on the streets as well.
Reportedly named the Eurospec model, some of the features of its build are the roll cage, a polyurethane body and an extremely light aluminum monocoque chassis. In addition, the car has been fitted with Momo steering wheel with integrated display, AP Racing brakes and adjustable coil-over suspension.
High level technology is totally not far behind. The car boasts a 2.0-liter four cylinder motor that develops 301 HP (224 kW) and 290 Nm (214 lb-ft) of torque. Thus, the car can accelerate from naught to 62 mph (100 km/h) in a whopping 2.8 seconds, reaching a maximum speed of 290 km/h (180 mph).
