BMW i8 Protonic Silver Edition

The 2016 Paris Motor Show is just a couple of weeks away, but BMW has already decided to surprise us with one of the beauties they’ll showcase at this year’s Parisian auto show, the BMW i8 Protonic Silver Edition. Specially developed for this motor show, the Protonic Silver edition actually follows in the footsteps of the Protonic Red edition, which was unveiled in Geneva.

The second special edition of the BMW i8, this vehicle manages to stand out of the crowd thanks to a unique and subtle exterior, that will surely seduce you with its dark and mysterious look. We’re guessing BMW is just trying to keep us really interested with this special version, in anticipation of the upcoming upgraded BMW i8, that might be unveiled next year.

If you like this special version of the i8, you should know the Protonic Silver Edition won’t be part of a limited series; it seems that the company will build as many units as customers demand, but you’ll have to place your order before the books close at the end of the year.

Production is set to commence by December, although we’re not quite sure about the price-tag on this beauty. We do know that the aforementioned auto show will see BMW also showing off their recently upgraded i3 and C Evolution electric scooter, not to mention the 3 Series Gran Turismo. I, for one, am waiting on the BMW 5 Series to show up.
