The 2016 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este is taking place exactly these days on the beautiful shores of Lake Como, in Italy, as per usual, and Aston Martin has planned to shock and awe everyone who attends the iconic car show with a very special supercar.

The company’s most recent bespoke project is the result of a new collaboration with the renowned Italian design house Zagato, and was dubbed as the ‘Vanquish Zagato’ concept. For those of you keeping track, this is actually the fifth car to be created by the two iconic names from the automotive industry.

The strong partnership is what made the Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato concept possible, synthesizing the essence of an important design relationship in a very powerful way. Featuring dynamic proportions, with the entire body-shell benefiting from carbon fiber, the ‘Vanquish Zagato’ concept sure looks like a winning design.

In order to deliver an aerodynamically-efficient concept, the two companies went for large one-piece panels, with new round tail light reflects that remind us a little bit of classic Zagato designs, as well as LED technology that’s similar to the one used on the jaw dropping Aston Martin Vulcan.

The Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato concept actually shows off the best of both worlds, and both companies; it features elements of Aston Martin’s present design language, such as ‘one-77’ inspired wing mirrors and a sculptural rear end similar to ‘DB11’s’ aerodynamic profile.

We should also tell you that a complete retractable spoiler and rear hatch allow access to the luggage compartment. The concept’s cabin should impress any driver, thanks to the herringbone carbon fiber, Anodized Bronze and Aniline leather, while a quad-exhaust should add even more thrills to the overall experience of diving this beauty.
