The 2013 Yamaha YZF-R1 is a two-wheel monster

It’s a sure thing superbikes are some of the most wanted machines to date. Ideal for both having fun and for reaching your destination way faster than by car, they do require a lot of vigilance to ride. And when it comes to supersports bikes like the 2013 Yamaha YFZ-R1, the experience is simply unclassifiable in our known dimension.

This is actually a piece of motorbike perfection. The specialists from Yamaha have replaced the traction control system with a brand new, improved one during the last year, but this year’s YFZ series brings just an array of new paintjob options.

The model is now available in Matte Grey, Raven and Rapid Red designs, in addition to the already famous Team Yamaha Blue and White. Apart from these new color designs, the bike is absolutely the same as the previous year’s version.

In terms of performance, the two-wheeler is powered by the same liquid cooled 4-cylinder 998cc engine, tied to the same old 6-speed multi-plate slipper clutch transmission. Even the wheel designs and the seat have curiously remained unchanged.

I genuinely think they didn’t do any change to last year’s model, apart from the color, simply because it’s pretty much close to “pinnacle engineering”. The retail price tags for the 2013 Yamaha YFZ-R1 range between $14,290 and $14,490, with availability starting before the end of September.
