Here’s a gorgeously elegant piece boasting the Roger Dubuis signature, the so-called Tribute to the Minute Repeater. It comes to honor the name it wears, which is of course the name that founded the brand.
Truth be told, this is a very special gadget, as it will only be available as a limited edition of just 8 pieces. As its name tells, the watch is the proud wearer of a gorgeous combo – a minute repeater and a couple of micro-rotors done in platinum.
It also comes with a rotor-powered caliber RD08 with flying tourbillion and minute repeater, as well as a 45 mm case in pink gold. Roger Dubuis notes about the caliber that it “is one of the rare automatic minute repeaters to feature a double micro-rotor in platinum and it is the only one to be stamped with the Hallmark of Geneva”. And immediately above each micro-rotor we’ll find the minute repeater hammers.
In total, this exquisitely expensive timepiece encompasses 415 parts and 11,250 hours of painstaking manufacture, while 380 of these were dedicated to the Hallmark of Geneva. No wonder it bears a humongous price tag, of $419,000 a piece, and will only come in 8 units. Utter exclusivity, this is!
