An interesting project signed Richard Mille – these stunning automatic cufflinks are made from a whopping 38 components and are the result of two years research, design and development. It’s not an exaggeration to say they are the most highly engineered cufflinks on the market today, as they crafted from grade 5 titanium which was bead-blasted, hand-beveled and satin-brushed for the best of looks and elegance.
They are not something exceptionally out of the ordinary for a name like Richard Mille, but still they are quite staggering. They comprise a patented mechanism which opens the bars through a push-piece. The design of these cufflinks allows the cuff to be fastened using 2 titanium bars which open through a simple press of the push-pieces and close by exerting pressure on the top plate.
The operating principle is totally different from the classic mechanism, which use a pivoting bar on the cufflink to hold the double cuff in place. The Richard Mille Cufflinks are available in Richard Mille boutiques and points of sale worldwide, starting October 2012. They are accompanied by 2 full years of warranty.
