One of the most renowned watchmakers in the world, Richard Mille, has just come up with a truly amazing and unique gadget. A proof of his experience in the field of timekeeping, he has designed and crafted probably the most original of all watches presented at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie 2012, also known as the SIHH, in Geneva.

Richard Mille has recently created the RM053 – a timepiece encased in a casual Richard Mille tonneau case – for the Argentinean polo player Mac Donough. The 50 mm x 42.7 mm case of the watch was crafted from titanium and titanium carbide for maximum resistance and an extremely masculine look.

The dial is set at a small angle from the case, boasting with a small seconds indicator on the left, on the tourbillon carriage, and minutes and hours on the right. Just like the display, the movement is also placed at an angle to the case, being designed to weather the blows and shocks it could feel during polo games.

Apart from the engravings on its caseback that certify its origin and purpose, a water resistance of 50 meters and the huge crown on the right side, we haven’t been updated with further info.
