Having been first produced as a limited edition of just 300 units, back in 2005, the white-dial Panerai Luminor Slytech PAM225 is almost as special and exquisite as the pre-Vendome Slytech from 1995 and 1996 – the black dial Panerai Luminor Submersible Slytech, manufactured in 95 pieces, and the white dial Luminor Daylight Slytech, produced in 105 units.

The Slytech submersible, was in fact a black faced Luminor Marina with custom engraving on the dial. It also features a genuine signature of Stallone on the caseback. It’s pretty futile to say the Pre-Vendome pieces are currently at high demand, valued at more than $70,000 a piece by enthusiastic collectors. In contrast, though, the PAM225 can be purchased at between $15,000 and $20,000.

Quite interestingly, the early models were reportedly commissioned by Sly Stallone for the famous movie Daylight. This has added some much wanted fame to the brand originating from Florence, putting it beside the world’s top manufacturers of timepieces.
