The fabled statue that symbolizes the freedom of America, the Statue of Liberty, has now been honored by MontBlanc through a tribute fountain pen which boasts design elements that resemble parts of the magnificent sculpture, reportedly called the MontBlanc Statue of Liberty Artisan Edition.
The writing instrument boasts with 750 fittings crafted from solid gold and a barrel embossed with the official date of the American Independence Declaration, written in roman letters. In addition, the exquisiteness of this remarkable piece is enhanced by the symbolization of the crown of the statue through the pen’s artistically-crafted cap.
An interesting feature mounted on this elegant item is the clip, crafted in such a way that it resembles a torch. It comes with a citrine jewel mounted on it, while a MontBlanc mother-of-pearl emblem was marked on the fountain pen’s apex.
The date when this piece will be made available worldwide is obviously the 4th of July 2012, but it will come as a limited edition of just 50 units. The price per piece will go as high as $33,143 or £21,000 – cheap, isn’t it?
