Monster Diamond Tears

You’ve probably met Monster before, aside famous names like Crystal Rocked, Dr. Dre or Miles Davis. Although they aren’t that famous in terms of sound quality, Monster has recently put together a state of the art pair of headphones crafted from 18-carat gold, encrusted with black diamonds totaling 5.56 carats – the Monster Diamond Tears.

They were actually presented for sale at Harrods on the 7th of March, worth a whopping $30,000. They have been penned down by the acclaimed Korean designer of jewels Sally Sohn. The Diamond Tears were in fact built on the design and quality of the Beats by Dr. Dre, with additional angles resembling the Monster Heartbeats headphones seen aside Lady Gaga.

The brains behind the Beats by Dr. Dre and the CEO of Monster, Noel Lee, describes: The creation of the Diamond Tears was truly a labor of love for us, and being able to work with such a talented, ahead-of-the-curve designer as Sally to craft such a special, museum-quality work of art was really the icing on the cake.”

According to specialists behind the brand, the Diamond Tears had taken over 100 hours of work. Their sound quality is comparable to the standard Diamond Tears, which cost around $370 a pair, but the added diamonds and 18-carat gold increase the value of the Monster Diamond Tears headphones to thirty grand.
