After last month’s unveiling of the S-Class Coupe, Mercedes-Benz has just released the more powerful S 63 AMG Coupe version.
The new model rides on 19-inch titanium grey multi-spoke AMG forged light alloy wheels wrapped around in 255/45 R19 and 285/40 R19 tires. Its power plant is twin-turbo V8 5.5-liter engine delivering 577 bhp and 664 lb-ft of torque, which means the S 63 goes from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.3 seconds (3.9 with the 4MATIC variant), and reaches an electronically-limited top speed of 155 mph.
Other notable features include the AIRMATIC air suspension and the MAGIC BODY CONTROL, as well as a curve tilting function which enables the vehicle to lean into bends like a motorcyclist or a skier. For an extra charge, the S63 AMG Coupe can be fitted with ceramic composite brakes and 20-inch ten-spoke AMG Performance Studio wheels. As for the inside of the car, there are AMG sport seats, Nappa leather upholstery and a flat-bottomed three-spoke steering wheel.
The 2014 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe will be showcased to the public for the first time during next month’s New York Auto Show.
