The designers and manufacturers from Hublot have spent a lot of their time crafting watches as dedications for all sorts of people and events, with renowned pieces like the Dwayne Wade Watch for the famous basketball player or the Magic Gold edition, a primary scratch-resistant version. We’ll now present their latest, the limited edition watch for women called amFAR, a tribute to fighting AIDS.
The men’s version was already built some time ago, so now what remains for Hublot is to launch this special edition. The event will take place on the 8th of February 2012, in New York, at the gala event. There’s also a humanitarian side of this release, part of the money the even generates being due to go towards hypothetically help fighting the disease.
The timepiece includes features that differentiate Hublot from all other watchmakers, like the white gold embezzlement with 49 baguette-cut diamonds, white alligator-leather stitched on the rubber strap, a huge round dial festooned with mother of pearl, encased in the black ceramic case and the self-winding in-house built chronograph movement.
The hours are numbered in Arabic numerals, at 2-hour intervals, while the minute-markings feature a blue-like coloration. Furthermore, to highlight the purpose of this edition, the 5 o’clock position has the name amFAR imprinted.
The unveiling will also feature the presence of Sarah Michelle Gellar as hostess, plus some musical pleasure offered by Janelle Monae and Theophilus London. Until further information regarding the prices and detailing about the ways to acquire the watch, we invite you to the gala, to enjoy Hublot’s traditional uniqueness.
