One of the most famous, yet controversial bike-riders of all time and 7-times winner of the Tour de France, Lance Armstrong, has listed his exquisite home in Austin, Texas for sale. The biking champion apparently chose to spend the rest of his life in his new house and will reportedly sell this one to Al Koehler.
As the founder of Royalty Clearinghouse, oil and gas brands, Al Koehler will buy it for a yet undisclosed price. The property covers 1.7 acres in total, while the main residence includes 700 square meters of living space. Armstrong has been the owner of the estate for almost 9 years now, since 2004, and got fully interested in a new design project and some renovation.
Lance had declared, back in 2008, for Architectural Digest that “when I walk into the house, I feel relieved. I’m home. Take off my shoes, walk barefoot, I just feel like carpet flooring. Home is very private. No one will bother you here. It feels good.”
Unfortunately, his professional life has undergone a lot of trouble during the last years, having admitted the use of steroids for nearly his entire career. Some even say that the money sponsors have spent into his career will have to be returned one day by the sportsman.
