Announced recently in New York City, French company “La Compagnie” plans to launch an all business-class line between New York’s Newark Airport and Charles De Gaulle Airport in Paris.
The flights are scheduled to run five days a week, leaving the French capital at 5.50 PM and arriving in Newark at 8.30 PM, then flying back across the Atlantic 75 minutes later.
La Compagnie (which is French for “The Company”) will start off with a single Boeing 757-200 aircraft, featuring 74 angled-flat seats in a 2 x 2 configuration, as well as “stylishly-dressed” flight attendants and Caudalie amenity kits. Passengers will enjoy menus created by chef Christophe Langree of the Michelin-starred Hotel Matignon in Paris, while entertainment will be provided on Samsung Galaxy Tablets. There are also plans to offer on-board WiFi later this year, about the same time a second Boeing 757 will be delivered to the company.
Prices for a one-way trip start at around $1,600, with bookings starting on the company’s website after July 1st.
