The Japanese car company Mazda has presented two stunning cars at the Las Vegas SEMA Show. One of them was a beautiful Mazda 2 Turbo with an engine borrowed from the MazdaSpeed 3, a devilish MZR 2.3-liter Direct Injection Spark Ignition turbo-charged engine.
Though no performance data has been released, it is known that the engine puts out 263 HP and 280 lb-ft at 3,000. This version is spoken to be faster and sleeker than the Mazda3, which is heavier. The handling has been improved to fit the new engine. The car got a new HR coil-over suspension kit, custom Brembo brakes with 13-inch ventilated and slotted discs and Corksport sway bars.
The car runs on shiny black 17-inch OZ Racing Wheels covered in reputable rubber: Yokohama ADVAN Neova 215/40R17 performance tires. The paint-job reflects the livelihood of the beast; bright green and neon yellow for the trim pieces combined with a lot of black, on the side-skirts, wheel arches, lower panels and front fascia.
The rear bench was replaced and the car got a pair of black-leather bucket seats, with yellow piping, and to make the controls plain simple the crafters mounted an AiMPista MXL digital racing performance and data acquisition display.
