Decades after halting production, Italian sport car manufacturer Ermini is back with the Seiottosei (a word which is Italian for 686).
Designed by Giulio Cappellini and built by Osella (an Italian manufacturer based in Verolengo, near Turin), this new model hopes to revive the Ermini brand, which started building racing cars just after World War II and did so with some success for about a decade. It measures 4,120 mm in length, 1,850 in width, with a 2,600 mm wheelbase. The car is built on a steel tube Trellis chassis with carbon fiber body panels. Powered by 2-liter 4cylinder engine which develops 320hp, it goes from 0 to 62mph in just 3.5 seconds, thanks in part to its relatively low weight of just 686 kg. Its top speed is limited electronically at 270 km/h.
The Seiottosei is also equipped with a Sadev 6-speed sequential transmission, Brembo brakes, OZ Racing wheels, and a push road suspension system.
Ermini will unveil their brand new model at the Geneva Motor Show next month, with price and availability to be announced sometime in the future.
