Ducati has unveiled last week a special edition of their Multistrada 1200 S called Pikes Peak to celebrate Greg Tracy’s victory in the 2010 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. The incredible all terrain versatility of the Ducati Multistrada can be noted from the fact that it has won the hard Pikes Peak race, which involves climbing a mountain track through 4,300 feet of altitude change and harsh terrain.
This special edition features a race-derived carbon fiber low windscreen, a Ducati Performance carbon fiber front mudguard and custom made seats with red stitching. The exterior of the bike was finished in an eye catching Ducati Corse paint scheme with red trellis frame and red pin-striping on the wheels, the passenger foot leg hangers and an engine guard with a special black anodized finished.
The Ducati Multistrada 1200 S Pikes Peak Special Edition will also feature an individually numbered badge on the engine crankcase cover that will make every bike from this edition unique. The price for this special edition will be $21,995 and Ducati will release it on the market from June 2011.
