Chanel has teamed up with famed Parisian embroidery atelier La Maison Lesage in order to create a couple of new embroidered versions of the delicate Mademoiselle Prive Camelia women’s watches.
Throughout the last century or so, La Maison Lesage has worked with some of the greatest names in the fashion industry, including Givenchy, Balenciaga, and Dior. This is, however, the first time the company was involved in the design and creation of an actual watch dial. As another milestone, these exquisite timepieces are the first to feature diamonds and fine pearls embroidered, forming those beautiful camellia motifs on a black silk fabric which give the watch its name.
As for Chanel’s part, the watchmakers there have created a piece which is quintessentially feminine: delicate, graceful, and very pretty. At its heart lies a quartz movement which shows the hours and minutes, while a satin strap, with an 18-carat gold buckle set with 80 brilliant-cut diamonds, rounds off the stunningly beautiful timepiece.
