Maverick X3

Track cars have always put our imagination on overdrive, but truth be told off-road experiences are equally thrilling. Can-Am is well aware of that, which is why this company has designed and developed the Maverick X3, an UTV that’s capable of handling almost anything you’d throw at it, built around a 1.85 inch tubular steel frame.

Powering up this stunning machine is a 900 cc turbocharged inline-three cylinder engine, good for about 154 hp and 113 lb-ft of torque, that’s really impressive, by the way, which activates all four wheels through a quick-shifting transmission. Could you believe this off road buggy will do 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 4.9 seconds, on almost all terrains?

Obviously, everyone who loves what they’ve read up until now are probably wondering: would I be able to hold on to the steering wheel? Well, Can-Am went all out and came up with the ‘X RS’ configuration for the X3, which benefits from a 22″ front suspension travel and 24 inches at the rear, and we’ll have to thank FOX for the fully adjustable shocks.

Don’t you worry, there are other guises of the Maverick as well, equally impressive and challenging. The Maverick X3 is not what you’d call ‘street-legal’, but the likes of Ariel Nomad should still be worried – the X3 is cheaper, rides high and comfy, and promises to deliver fun and memorable experiences to anyone brave enough to climb in.
