The astonishing Mercedes-AMG GT S already had 510 PS (503 hp) under the hood, but Brabus’ customers aren’t most people and 500 horses are probably too few for them. That’s why the German tuner came to the Frankfurt Motor Show with this upgraded GT S model, delivering 600 PS (592 hp) together with a sleek new look and better performances.
The performance kit developed for the 4.0L twin turbo V8 engine of the GT S has been dubbed as the Brabus PowerXtra B40-600 and it’s comprised of new mapping for injection and ignition, as well as increased boost pressure.
These modifications added an extra 90 PS (88 hp) and 100 Nm (74 lb-ft) of torque to the incredible vehicle, which makes this supercar 0.2 faster than the stock car on 0 to 100km/h (0-62 mph), reaching this speed in just 3.6 seconds, and being able to reach a breathtaking top speed of 325 km/h (201 mph).
Brabus also worked its magic on the aesthetic level, fitting the car with a beautiful carbon body kit, which includes aggressive bumpers and spoilers, custom air outlets on the front fenders, sporty rocker panels and a brand new rear diffuser with custom cutouts for the new exhaust.
Yes, the Brabus Mercedes-AMG GT S also received a titanium sports quad exhaust, which features butterfly valves that can be electronically controlled from the cockpit, so if you’re a fan of loud engine noises, you will surely fall in love with the new sound of this ride. Brabus also added ultra-light Monoblock F forged alloys, to make sure the car looks incredible – which it does.
Also part of this customized package is a sports suspension, featuring a series of different settings for damping and ride height. Please note that the sports springs lower the ride height of GT S by about 15 mm (0.6 in).
Inside the cabin, however, customers may opt out for several chic/sporty options, like carbon scuff plates with stainless steel inserts and a Brabus logo, aluminum paddle shifters and either matte anodized or chrome plated aluminum pedals. As you’d expect, the tuner will also deliver fine leather and Alcantara interiors, tailored to the owners’ preferences when it comes to color and design.
