David Linley surprised the world once again with his newest luxurious creations: a couple of beautiful limited edition Lalique Jewellery Boxes. These stylish jewellery boxes are an upshot of a collaboration between the British design company Linley and the French design house Lalique, representing the fine work of Lalique crystal combined with Linley signature wood through the techniques of marquetry and inlay.
The Lalique Jewellery boxes are named “Masque de Femme” and “Perles”. The first one is made in Macassar ebony and covered with vellum, bearing the stylish Lalique “Masque de Femme” motif which was originally created by Rene Lalique in 1935. This box will feature 20 flower shaped crystals on the inlaid panel.
The second jewellery box, Perles, has a contrasting design with the smooth satin finish of Lalique crystal and the high gloss ebonized maple wood signature of Linley. There will be produced only 99 pieces for both designers and the Lalique Jewellery Box by Linley will be priced at 9,600 EUR (or about $13,425).
