Aston Martin Reveals the DB10, James Bond’s Latest Ride

Aston Martin is as much a part of the James Bond franchise as the phrase “shaken, not stirred,” or campy supervillains. So it comes as no surprise that the British luxury automaker has released a special edition as part of the announcement of the 24th 007 movie, which recently took place at Pinewood Studios in London. Called the DB10, the vehicle will appear in the series` latest installment called Spectre.

The new model’s name is misleading in a sense, as it isn’t the successor to the acclaimed DB9. In fact, the DB10 was designed exclusively for the movie, as a collaboration between a team of designers and engineers from Aston Martin lead by Marek Reichman and the movie’s director, Sam Mendes, who wanted an amazing car for the legendary spy. Only 10 units are set to be produced, which will be used exclusively for filming. Except for the initial images, few details regarding the car have been released, but the DB10 will probably be powered by the same V12 engine the British carmaker’s releases currently use.

Apart from the release of Spectre (set for November 6, 2015), there might be some more good news for Aston Martin enthusiasts. While the DB10 isn’t the British brand’s newest design, the company hasn’t ruled out the possibility that features from 007’s latest ride might also be seen in the next real-life model. Definitely something to look forward to.
