Arnold & Son are celebrating their 250th anniversary with a new timepiece that emphasizes Haute Horologerie. With the new Royal TEC1, Arnold & Son combines a tourbillion, a column wheel chronograph and an automatic winding system, three complexities set together for the first time in one of their timepieces.
The brand’s third tourbillion, the TEC1 will be part of the Royal Collection, which is inspired by the watches created by founder John Arnold for King George III and members of the royal court in the early part of his career.
This luxurious piece will be available in three editions. First there’s the exclusive Limited Edition 250th anniversary piece, crafted in 18kt red gold, a 45 mm case and with a blue lacquered guilloché dial with the inscription ‘250th Anniversary’ on its 22-carat red gold rotor.
Then there are the non-limited renditions, which include an 18kt red gold model with anthracite dial and a palladium-cased version with a silvery white and silver dial. Each TEC1 watch comes with an elegant hand-stitched alligator strap.
For now, there’s no word on the price of the limited edition timepiece, however the non-limited version is expected to come with a price tag of $99,050.
