Swiss watchmaker Ulysse Nardin made quite in impression back in 2001, when the brand launched the original Freak timepiece. It came without a dial, crown or hands and looked out of this world; but now, the new and improved version has arrived, with the boutique edition FreakLab.
The Ulysse Nardin FreakLab is innovative, to say the least, showing off a newly centralized balance wheel along with the very first date display in the Freak line, not to mention a proprietary shock absorption system, dubbed as UlyChoc. The in-house calibre UN-210 takes care of the watch movement, with its hairspring, escape wheels and anchor in silicon.
The FreakLab will be produced in a limited run of just 99 pieces, exclusive to Ulysse Nardin boutiques around the world. Customers will probably appreciate the blackened titanium middle case and lugs, as well as the carbon fiber bezel.
Add in the 7 days power reserve and rubber strap, and you’ve got yourselves one hell of a Christmas present!
