Sadly, the founder of Versace is not among us anymore, but the brand he created is blooming. They will be launching the new Atelier Jewelry Collection, on the occasion of the first day of the Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week.
The creative director of the brand, Donatella Versace, has reportedly named every piece in the collection a standalone work of art. Due to be presented on the 1st of July, the collection will be done a runway presentation at the Ritz Paris, as it brings the brand back into the world of fashion.
In total, the latest jewelry line from Versace comprises 16 new designs of hand-sculpted rings, adorned with precious elements like amethysts, sapphires, emeralds and diamonds, and will be custom made. In addition, they will exclusively be available for purchase strictly by appointment. Donatella Versace explains: “As a designer and a collector of fine jewelry, I have always wanted to offer the same quality of craftsmanship in jewelry as we offer with the Atelier Versace fashion collection.”
The same spot which hosted Gianni Versace’s last collection, in July 1997, right before he was assassinated, Ritz Paris, was chosen by Donatella to be the unveiling place of Versace’s Fall/Winter couture show. Don’t miss out the Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week jewelry showcase on the 5th of July, as, besides Versace, a load of fabled names like Dior, Chanel and Van Cleef & Arpels will present their latest creations.
