The ultimate and also the most expensive car collection in the whole world is owned by the Sultan of Brunei, Hassanal Bolkiah, the proud owner of around 7,000 high performance cars. Yes, that’s 7,000 supercars that are worth way over $1 billion.

Most cars from this gargantuan collection are stored in five ultra secret aircraft hangars, featuring a team of specialists from different car manufacturers to keep the cars in the best condition. According to Daily Mirror, at the end of June 2010, the collection featured 604 Rolls Royces, 574 Mercedes-Benzes, 452 Ferraris, 382 Bentleys, 209 BMWs, 179 Jaguards, many Koenigseggs, 21 Lamborghinis, 11 Aston Martins, 2 McLaren F1s and 1 SSC.

10 of those 11 Aston Martins are the super rare limited edition Aston Martin One-77, a supercar which was built in just 77 examples and the Sultan of Brunei wanted 10 just for him. The McLaren F1s were also specially painted to meet his taste but the super rare one-off cars really make this collection incredible.

Hassanal Bolkiah owns a two, rare, operational, Ferrari Mythos concepts, a unique Jaguar XJ220 designed by Pininfarina himself, a Bentley Java, a Bentley Dominator 4×4, the only right hand drive Mercedes CLKGTR which was specially built for him, the only Porsche Carma, the only Koenigsegg Agera CC GT and also the only Cicero BDB Maestro ever built.

We really don’t know why automakers provide such expensive and rare cars to a man who lets them site in an aircraft hangar because well… cars were invented to be on the road. Bonus, a couple of images with the One-77!

  1. I don’t know what the Daily Mail were on while approving this nonsense but for starters there’s no Cicero BDB or whatever car. Also LOL at the 11 Astons (meaning 1 really as the 10 one-77s have not arrived yet!). He has much more than that.

  2. Well I’m sorry but that’s just not accurate. See here for the CicerBDmaestro hoax: and also here:

Plus here for the correct info on the cars: . 134 Koenigseggs? LOOOOL!

Plus he doesn’t have ALL the cars for himself LOL! A few thousand people live in the Palaces including many family members (well he’s allowed many wives..) and a gazillion staff members. PLUS there’s the thing with the car-per-guest tradition. While you’re their guest you get a luxury car to drive around even if it’s for a day!
