I’m pretty sure we’ve all heard about the Japanese cartoon cat Hello Kitty, but I don’t know how many of you have heard about a spa inspired by this character. The world’s first Hello Kitty beauty spa, designed by Japanese architect and designer Miyuki Okamura, has been opened just a couple of weeks ago in Dubai.
The spa is decked in pink and has luxurious features that remind us of queens and princesses. The pink tones have been beautifully assorted with shades of silver and cream, on the boudoir-like furniture, cloth-draped pink chandeliers, cushions and wallpapers. Obviously, all of the spa’s treatment rooms are accompanied by Yuko Shimizu’s character, Kitty White.
The spa offers an entire array of services, from make-up, hair treatments, facial, nails to all sorts of body therapies using special, organic substances created for sensitive skins types, for every representative of the beautiful gender.
The therapies have been appointed with a plethora of appellatives, like Kitty Glam for facials, Kitty-Cure manicures, Toe-Tally Perfect pedicures and many more. In addition, this place is not entirely about looking good and getting pampered. The spa boasts with the Hello Kitty Café, a place where all sorts of juices, desserts, flavored tea and cupcakes can be enjoyed.
It seems like the Hello Kitty industry is currently undergoing a huge expansion process, from clothes, jewelry, nail polishes – with MAC – to toys, TV shows, watches, phones marked with Hello Kitty emblems, luxury water bottles and even spas, like the Hello Kitty Spa.
