This timepiece, marked with the Hallmark of Geneva, is one of the most elegant things i have ever seen. Recently announced by Vacheron Constantin, the brand new Patrimony Traditionelle Self-Winding wristwatch is classic, masculine and full of guts – everything a genuine male wants and needs.
This epitome of luxury features a large, 41 millimeter case and the fabled, extremely thin, automatic Caliber 1120 movement. The opaline, silvery dial, with 18 carat pink gold applied hour markers, is embedded into a superbly simple gold case. The circumference of the dial is highlighted by an elegant, black minute circle. The alligator strap tied to the gorgeous piece is toned in brown and attached to it by an 18 carat pink gold pink buckle.
The ultra thin self winding Calibre 1120 movement ticks inside the case, one of today’s watchmaking markers. In addition, it can be clearly viewed through a sapphire crystal on the back of the case. Detailing the mechanism a bit, we should mention that it is 2.45 mm thick and 28.4 mm wide, it works at 19,800 vibrations per hour, sports a total of 144 total pieces, Gyromax balance and exquisitely hand-polished and chamfered components.
One of the most stunning characteristics, though, is the Côtes du Genève motif, obvious on both the exterior design and the mechanism, while the rotor features a carved-up, superb, Maltese cross emblem. No wonder it boasts with the Hallmark of Geneva seal, which has been changed during the last year. Its requirements were extended from the movement to the whole finishing of the watch.
