US-only Audi R8 Exclusive Selection Edition revealed

We would have loved to see this special edition Audi R8 roam the streets of Europe, but unfortunately it was designed just for the US. Dubbed as the Audi R8 Exclusive Selection Edition, this supercar will be produced in a limited run of just 20 cars for the V8 version and 30 for the powerful R8 V10.

The V8 model will reportedly sport a Daytona Gray matte paintjob, carbon fiber exterior splitter and diffuser, huge, red brake calipers, black muffler tips, the R8 GT tail lamps, a set of 19 inch 5-arm titanium double spoke wheels and a black grille surround. Inside, it will be finished in leather with Crimson Red trims and contrast stitching.

The Navigation pad will be surrounded by one-off leather, while the multi-function steering wheel will be wrapped in leather and will feature a thicker contour. In terms of performance, it will be powered by Audi’s 4.2-liter FSI V8 engine that delivers 430 HP (320 kW) at 7,900 RPM and a maximum torque of 427 Nm (316 lb-ft) between 4,500 RPM and 6,000 RPM.

The V10 version will be decked with an Ibis White paintjob, while its mirrors, sideblade, R8 GT tail lamps and rear license plate surround will feature a contrasting, Brilliant Black appearance. The car will reportedly run on 19 inch bi-tonal e-tron rims.

The car’s interior will boast with leathery Navigation surround, the driver’s cockpit will be decked with carbon fiber, Ibis finishes and contrasting Alabaster White stitching, as well as a contoured steering wheel. As for its performance, the V10 version will obviously pack a stronger punch: its 5.2-liter FSI V10 engine has a maximum output of 525 HP (391 kW) at 8,000 RPM and a top torque of 529 Nm (391 lb-ft) at 6,500 RPM.

Both models can be equipped with 6-speed manual transmissions or automatic R-tronic ones. Their price for these beauties hasn’t been revealed yet.
