In recent years, thanks to improvements in technology and design, caravans have become more and more popular – and the ultra-luxurious Caravisio Caravan is at the forefront of this trend.

Recently unveiled during the Motorhome and Caravan Show in Birmigham, this 29.5-foot (9 m) long, 8.2-foot (2.5 m) wide recreational vehicle is equipped with a range of high-end amenities, from remote controlled lights and entertainment systems, to a sizeable cinema and wine cooler compartment. Single beds can be extended to become double beds, while the frosted smart-glass dual-paned sliding door can become fully transparent at the touch of a button.

Designed by German company Knauss Tabbert, which needed two years to design and build it, the Caravisio Caravan also boasts excellent aerodynamics thanks to its sleek and futuristic bullet-shaped look. A lot of thought has been put into security as well: the caravan’s app (which controls lighting, sound, and heating) uses finger print-activated biometric technology which cost a whopping £88,000 (over $140,000) to develop.

With all these amazing, state-of-the-art features, it’s no wonder the Caravisio Caravan costs more than most homes! Set to hit the market (and presumably the road) in two year’s time, the luxury caravan is expected to be priced at £500,000 (which is more than $800,000, at the current exchange rate).
