Pierre DeRoche is a young Swiss watch brand created from the passion of Carole and Pierre Dubois just over ten year ago. It’s a project born out of love, so it’s no surprise that one of their most popular collection, called TNT Royal Retro, features a couple of limited edition watches named after one of the world’s most infamous couples: Bonnie and Clyde.
Both watches have a black PVD-coated titanium case 43 mm in diameter, with a bezel which is either in white ceramic with black engraved numerals (Bonnie model), or black carbon with white engraved numerals (Clyde model). What makes the bezel really remarkable is that in its composition there’s a very special composite material known as itr²®. Created from carbon nanotubes, it is totally hypoallergenic, as well as being six times lighter than steel and four timer lighter than titanium. There’s sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides, and a sapphire caseback. Also, the watch is water resitant to 100 meters.
The movement is a mechanical automatic exclusive Dubois Dépraz caliber with 58 jewels, with a decorated and engraved rotor, central bridge, and 6 chamfered, satin-finished seconds bridges with white or black galvanic bath treatment. Finally, the timepiece comes on an alligator strap with safety folding clasp.
Both the TNT Royal Retro 43 Bonnie and Clyde watches by Pierre DeRoche were released as limited editions comprising just 101 pieces.
