Deep within the spiritual center of Tibet, Lhasa, in a superb region on top of the world, you can find the mind blowing St. Regis Lhasa Resort, that’s accessible via Lhasa’s Gongga Airport after an one hour drive.

At a whopping 12,000 feet above sea level, in front of the Potala Palace, the St. Regis Lhasa’s designers and builders have spent no expense in the construction process. It sports a total 162 rooms, with tranquil interiors and high-tech amenities like high-speed Internet connection, plasma TV and superb marble-paved bathrooms.

It would be folly to just sit inside the rooms and not enjoy the beauty of the local landscapes, or not to bask in the culture that surrounds the resort. The nearby Norbulinku is a heritage site, as UNESCO states. It’s quite a nice place to check out, along with monuments, temples, lakes, monasteries and the cool local population.

Arriving back to the resort, after a long day’s adventure, get to practice some relaxing Yoga at the resort, or simply dip into the pool. Afterwards, get dressed back and head to one of the local restaurants, for a unique dining experience. If you choose the Yan Ting, delicious, traditional Chinese foods are there to fit your liking.

If it’s the Social you choose, international treats are their specialties. In addition, there is the Si Zi Kang, with local menus. Undertake such an adventure for price tags starting from $302 per night. We say it’s definitely worth every dime.
