The Waterbuggy is a newly launched gadget meant for newbies in the field of navigation, or families with kids that want to spend some quiet, calm time on the water-surface. With a maximum speed of 6 mph, it’s in a total contrast with high-speed personal water craft machines, just like its purpose – the lack of high-level adrenaline.
If one can imagine the cars used in fun parks, with bumpers all around, you can easily imagine the aspect of this machine; furthermore, the controls are extremely facile. It was recently introduced to public at the Monaco Yacht Show. The maneuverability of the vehicle is astonishing. It can be span into place, thanks to its turbine system.
The commands consist of a joystick for direction and start / stop buttons, and it can be used on up to 3-feet-deep water. An arching tail protects the passengers from the sun, the gadget being able to accommodate up to three people. It comes in 4 different motorizations: a Tohatsu engine developing 9.8 Horsepower, a 9.8HP Mariner, a 9.9 HP Mercury or a 10HP Honda propellant. A funny aspect is the fuel reservoir, which is portable, granting easier filling.
The prices for the machine vary between $9,900 and $10,600, depending on each customer’s preferences.
