The Dubai International Motor Show saw McLaren introduce the special 650S Spider Al Sahara 79 version. Imagined by McLaren Special Operations (MSO), the McLaren 650S Spider Al Sahara 79 shows off a pearlescent white gold exterior possible due to the use of 24 carat gold particles.

According to McLaren, the unique paint-job draws inspiration from the Middle Eastern landscape, which should explain the name of the vehicle. The special edition McLaren also features a gloss black retractable hard top, MSO-branded side blades and gloss black alloy wheels.

Also worth mentioning are various carbon fiber components, as the likes of a front splitter, side skirts and rear diffuser.

Inside the cabin, the exclusivity vibes carry on. Here, MSO installed Black and Almond White leather sports seats, contrast stitching and pearlescent white gold accents on the steering wheel, center console and door panels.  Let’s not ignore the unique switch gear and air vents with a distinctive dark golden finish, shall we?

This very special McLaren is powered by the same twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 engine that’s good for about 650 PS and 678 Nm of torque. This means 0 to 62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 3.0 seconds and a top speed of 204 mph or 329km/h.

Please note that the McLaren 650S Spider Al Sahara 79 will be available exclusively for Middle East customers, with a price tag starting at 1,456,308 AED or $396,538.
