LV Fifty Five

Inspired by the brand’s iconic trunks, a new versatile and contemporary Louis Vuitton watch has been designed for world travelers. Featuring a brand new case, the LV Fifty Five watch gets its name from the Roman numerals (LV) to Arabic numerals (55).

This new, gorgeous Louis Vuitton timepiece is perfect for both sexes, housed in a round steel case which features a slight curve and two metal plaques engraved with Louis Vuitton’s name. Comprised of two pieces, the dial of the LV Fifty Five features the letter V at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock and the signature LV at 12 o’clock. These letters are engraved across the timepiece from the hands, hour-markers, crown and buckle.

The LV Fifty Five also shows off a horological complication that’s been designed with globetrotters in mind, available only in steel. The new watch also comes with another first, as it features a strap made from the brand’s own in-house crafted leather. Louis Vuitton will deliver its new watch in three sizes, each of them sporting a different movement, for men and women.

The timepieces will be launched on the market in January 2016, starting off at $3,300 and possibly reaching $5,000. That pink, feminine model features the ETA 256.031 quartz movement, the medium unisex version is powered by the ETA 2892 self-winding mechanical movement while the black LV watch (which is definitely perfect for men) comes with the ETA 2893 movement, with GMT function. What’s your flavor?
