Leica has been making waves recently, surprising us with more and more exquisite versions of their brilliant cameras. This time the renowned German camera maker has decided to send some goodness over to China, in the form of the uber chic Leica Panda edition.
Of course, this special camera pays homage to the super cute, black and white animal, and we totally like it! Featuring a black body, with white highlights all around, the Panda edition was beautifully put together, featuring even a black dot instead of the traditional red one.
On the outside, you can also see the words “ChengDu, China”, etched on the back of the camera, while on the inside, the Leica Panda Edition – also called Leica M-P – hides a Summicron-M 28mm f/2 in one set and a Summilux-M 35mm f/1.4 ASPH lens.
The rangefinder also matches the overall thematic of the camera, with white and black accents. If you like what you see, you should know that the camera will see a limited roll out of just 30 pieces, priced between HK $110,000 and HK $120,000 HKD ($14,000 USD – $15,000 USD). We’ll keep an eye out for future bespoke projects from Leica.
