The Energica Eva is a new fully electric motorcycle that was designed and built in Italy. As such, you’d expect extraordinary looks and incredible performances and this bike truly delivers. It comes equipped with a permanent magnet oil cooled motor, which develops 70kW and 170 Nm of torque in an instant.
The Eva Electric Motorbike will provide riders with a 200 km range and a top speed of 200 km/h in Sport Mode, which is beyond impressive. To make sure the ride is effortless and enjoyable, the battery, electric inverter, charger and anti-lock braking systems are constantly monitored and managed by a sophisticated vehicle control unit.
What’s interesting about this electric bike in particular is that the Energica Eva does not have a gearbox or a clutch. A ride-by-wire system takes care of everything, allowing riders to control the acceleration and deceleration of the motor with the integrated regenerative torque braking, that’s fully adjustable, by the way.
Constructed out of lightweight fiberglass paneling, with steel tubular framing, the Eva also features built-in GPS and Bluetooth modules that continually connect to the rider’s smartphone. It seems like the world’s first Italian racing-bred electric motorcycle is on its way.
