The heart-stopping Ferrari 488 GTB was associated with the original mid-engined Ferrari “berlinetta” – the 308 – ever since it was announced. If you didn’t see the resemblance by now, Ferrari has just made it easier for you by developing a special one-off model, inspired by the classic supercar.
Revealed at the Grand Palais des Champs-Élysées, alongside the iconic GTC4Lusso V12 four-seater, this Ferrari 488 GTB is the result of a unique collaboration between the Italians and Parisian dealer Charles Pozzi, showing off an exclusive tailor-made program, meant to honor the original 308 GR4 Pioneer racing car, which won the Tour de France Auto in 1981 and 1982.
Thi new Ferrari 488 GTB was painted in the same color theme as its predecessor, namely the French racing blue and white. The Pioneer sponsorship decals, complemented by matte gold alloys and black matte calipers, gets you in the mood to race the instant you get a glimpse of the vehicle.
But this unique Ferrari wasn’t built only for show, being more than capable to handle its business on rally tracks around the world. On the inside, the supercar also resembles the 308 GR4, featuring a modern interpretation of the car’s seats made in red historic fabric, complemented by leather, matte carbon, and Alcantara. Let’s not talk price, shall we?
