Having officially debuted at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, the Bertone Jet 2+2 is a fantastic looking shooting brake variant of the Aston Martin Rapide. Well, here’s a new report on the car saying that it’s about to enter limited edition production.
First, it used to be just a design car for a particular customer, but the two brands, Bertone and Aston Martin, have thought better. They’re reportedly considering a limited production run of the car. Mind you, I don’t know if this will actually be the flagship model of Aston Martin, considering the exclusivity and statistics of the One-77, but it’ll be an exclusively made model nevertheless.
According to Autocar, if production will be lower than then units, Bertone will probably manufacture them near Turin, at their headquarters. If there are more units to be made, on paper theoretically, Aston Martin will be putting them together in Gaydon. Furthermore, Aston Martin will be selling this as the Rapide Shooting Brake, if they’re building them in UK.
