Fabergé is probably the stuff that dreams are made of. The brand needs no introduction, but it’s totally worth describing their newly introduced men’s watch. The new Fabergé Visionnaire I watch got people talking way before it was revealed, mostly due to the fact that Giulio Papi of Renaud & Papi is the mind behind this intriguing design.
The renowned watchmaker based in Le Brassus has been throwing several jaw dropping haute horlogerie pieces at us this year, including the Chanel Première Flying Tourbillon. So, a collaboration with Renaud & Papi on a flying tourbillon could not have passed unnoticed.
Fabergé’s new flagship watch, the Visionnaire I is the closest thing to a diamond jewelry a man should wear. The watch boasts a sublime dial cut into seven inclined trapezes, a design that hints on the specialty of Fabergé and allows us to admire the watch’s mechanical intricacy.
The high level of finishing on the watch and the attention to details is more than impressive. The flying tourbillon is cased in a resolutely modern-looking timepiece, featuring a stunning black PVD treatment. The 44 mm watch was designed with consideration to modern men, while the cuts in the dial were meant to offer a different perspective depending on the movement and position of the wrist.
On the inside, the Visionnaire I houses caliber TOF14, a hand-wound movement and a 72-hours power reserve. Speaking of which. a power reserve display is visible on a hard case back, just to make sure your fashion accessory is constantly useful. The luxurious watch also comes with a hand-stitched black alligator strap and platinum and blue-treated titanium Fabergé folding clasp.
It should not come as a surprise that the Visionnaire I combines a powerful visual identity with the Fabergé legacy and attention to detail. This resulted in a high-end complication that reveals the brand vision of the future. The fabulous Fabergé Visionnaire I will be available available in rose gold, or in platinum.
