The BMW Apollo Streamliner is a heart-stopping bike concept

We don’t write about bike concepts too often, but this Streamlined Beemer Bike looks so tantalizing that my heart skipped a beat when I’ve first laid my eyes on these photos. This electrifying bike concept is actually dubbed “BMW Apollo Streamliner” and it’s the brainchild of a talented Turkish designer named Mehmet Doruk Erdem.

If the back end of the bike looks pretty aggressive, the front end is so futuristic and sleek, screaming just one thing: speed! The bike was actually designed to break speed records in Salt Lake City, and that unorthodox front end is just perfect to deflect wind away from the rider at the highest speeds.

We don’t have a clue if this bike was designed in collaboration with BMW Motorrad, but the bike does feature BMW’s signature silver steel and leather combination. Even though it’s just a concept right now, I’d love to see one of these bikes in flesh one day.

I think it would look amazing on the streets as well, not only at a high speed circuit breaking speed records.
