One of Australia’s best resorts is now reopened after extensive renovation, which included work on the accommodation, activity facilities and local infrastructure. Located in the Great Barrier Reef, the Hayman Resort represents a great opportunity to check on what Australia has to offer.

The resort features 210 accommodations, spread throughout the area, in a naturally-tranquil environment. Kerry Hill himself has put his hand into the design of the eight new beachside villas, each with its own direct access to the sea. There are also exceptionally-beautiful residences on the property, designed by the same artist, placed in such a way that they benefit to the maximum from the incredibly gorgeous landscapes.

They feature modern technology and design and are ready to be bought as parts of the whole property. There is a whole array of things to do at the resort. The area has plenty of lounge spots where one can enjoy a delicious cocktail while watching the surroundings, may taste the local scotch collection, enjoy reading books from the library or just have some fun playing billiard and board games.

On the other hand, there’s a superb spa oriented on wellness. You may experience unique rejuvenation sessions in any of the 13 treatment rooms, among which there is also one for couples. Some of the services offered here are Tropical Papaya and Pineapple De-ageing Body Wrap, Caviar and Pearl Rejuvenation Facial, Ocean and Outdoor Pavilion Massages and the Couple’s Aromatic Cocoon.

The Australians are renowned for good food, but this resort offers not only Australian, but also internationally-influenced menus. The Fontaine restaurant is designed by Nic Graham, presenting appetizing fresh meals as well as bottles of wine from the cellar. The restaurant traditionally focuses on seafood, but the great taste of it is easily equalized by the gorgeous views over the Whitsunday waters.

There’s also something very special going on: once a week there is the Chef’s Table, Chef Bacon and Sommelier Alex Cumming being the hosts. Then you’re invited to take place at the six-course dinner and tutorial to improve your cooking capabilities.
