The Ballistic Trident Is A New Special Treat from Rough Crafts

Ballistic Trident

This custom bike shop went far beyond MV Agusta’s wildest dreams for this one-off project, and we’re obviously talking about the mad people at Rough Crafts. Dubbed as the Ballistic Trident, their latest project started off as a new MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR and ended up looking dark and menacing, not to mention possibly dangerous thanks to those dustbin fairings.

It’s beyond that actually, as side winds can possibly topple the bike, and the steering lock seems heavily compromised. But the Ballistic Trident is an innovative design, which turns with the forks and has a compact profile – notice how the edge of the windscreen blends with the top of the fuel tank and the tail section? Incredible, right?

Constructed out of carbon fiber, the fairing can be mounted or dismounted in just a couple minutes. Better yet, after this menacing bodywork has been finished, Rough Crafts added a pair of 17-inch six-spoke wheels, courtesy of Wukawa Industry.

Pirelli Taiwan went on to deliver the tires, while the sculptural gold Öhlins FGR 800 forks and custom Beringer brakes remind us once again that this was a performance-oriented bike. The 12-valve, three-cylinder engine develops 140 hp and was mated to a HP Corse exhaust, so the experience and soundtrack should meet all expectations. That sleek body design, though, will surely turn a lot of heads on the streets.
