Audi thought it would be a nice move to pay tribute to the ravishing Audi R8 LMS, which some of you might remember as the car that won last year’s 24 Hours race at Nurburgring. As such, the German automaker has designed a new special edition of its flagship supercar, in the form of Audi R8 Coupe V10 Plus Selection 24h, to celebrate this victory, that will be produced in a limited run of just 24 units.
Based on the V10 Plus version of the R8, this special edition shows off dynamic steering, adaptive damper control, magnetic ride and laser lighting – among many other technical wonders the engineers from Audi have decided to fit onto the car.
You’ve probably spotted the tricolor paint finish by now, with Suzuka gray as the base color, which was mixed with Mythos black and Misano red highlights.
This limited edition supercar also boasts a glossy carbon fiber front spoiler, rear wing, diffuser and side mirror caps, while the sideblades come with a matte “R8 24h” logo. The Audi R8 Coupe V10 Plus Selection 24h also comes with a stunning set of 10-spoke Y pattern 20-inch forged alloys and its tailpipes have been finished in black as well.
Moving on the cabin, the lucky owners of this beauty will surely appreciate the full-leather upholstery and trim finished in rotor gray, the Alcantara headlining, or the gloss-finish carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) air vents. The Audi Virtual Cockpit, along with the “R8 24h” logo, illuminated door sill trims and a serial number are also part of this vehicles interior decor.
No technical changes to talk about, which means 5.2-liter V10 still develops 610 PS (601 HP), enabling the car to do 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.2 seconds and top out at 330 km/h (205 mph). Feel free to order one of your own, and expect to pay at least €229,000 ($261,000) for the privilege.
